We, JOSE COLLADO S.A., are a company specialised in the formulation, manufacturing and selling of products intended for the purposes of hygiene in hospitals, food industries, pharmaceutical laboratories, human communities, poultry farming, the stockbreeding sector, medical offices, etc., which are sectors in which hygiene is an important and critical factor. JOSE COLLADO, S.A.’s history starts when Mr. José Collado Herrero, chemist at the Instituto Químico de Sarriá, founded, in 1925, the company that currently has his name. In the beginning, the main activity of the company was the collection, distillation and rectification of essential oils from aromatic plants. Part of the production was intended for the pharmaceutical, perfume and disinfectant formulation companies. There is where the idea of beginning with the formulation and the manufacturing of our own disinfectants of natural origin was born. With it, JOSE COLLADO, S.A. got ahead of the events by almost half a century when introducing in the market the first natural, effective and environment-friendly disinfectants for the food and agriculture industry, poultry farming, the stockbreeding sector and human communities.

In 1967, in JOSE COLLADO, S.A., the second technical and commercial stage in the company was encouraged. In it, the use of natural essences as disinfectants was strengthened, the synthetic molecules that the chemical technology was developing were incorporated, the first network for the commercialisation of disinfectants and for the technical advising of clients was organised, and the new Hospitals and Pharmaceutical divisions were created. The long experience achieved in the field of applied chemistry and the search for new products and new cleaning and disinfection techniques have allowed us to achieve a large and balanced range of high quality products, as well as the technological development of more effective Comprehensive Hygiene Systems. All this is destined to the offering of a service and specific disinfection solutions for “Critical Areas” or “Areas with a High Infection Risk”, and to the global sanitation of premises in the industries, first in the cleaning stage, providing all the necessary detergents, and later on providing the disinfectants for the subsequent treatments.
